The San Diego County Manx Society began in 1979, the Tynwald Millennium year.
Most of our meetings are in members’ homes, but we do enjoy the occasional “field trip”.
We are home to the famous Star of India ship, which was built in Ramsey Isle of Man in 1863, and are proud to have her as a part of our Maritime Museum.
There are approximately 24 regular attenders and we have 28 families on the mailing list. We would love to welcome more!
Over recent years, with lengthy gaps due to COVID, we have met every four months or so. We have held meetings on our wonderful Star of India.
Every year, we participate in the Festal Evensong of St. George at St. Paul’s Cathedral in downtown San Diego. A beautiful and moving event, this involves our group carrying our banner with dozens of groups associated
