'Lost' Hoggatt picture bought for £14.99

A HOUSEWIFE stands to make a small fortune with the sale of a lost Manx treasure. Linda Culpin, of Edenbridge, Kent, paid just £14.99 ($22.35) for a painting by the famous artist William Hoggatt whose home was in the Island.

Since she bought it from a second-hand shop more than a week ago, Mrs Culpin has had the watercolor painting priced at between £1,500 and £2,000 by auctioneers and valuers Bonhams and has decided to put it up for auction.
